ed
Ed gamble is a funny person. Funny people generally fall into two buckets. One is friendly and the way you’d hope they are, the other is the depressed downtrodden celebrity. Thankfully Ed is too young to be downtrodden so he firmly lives in the first category. He’s mostly known for being a funny person on a wide variety of panel shows and BBC shows such as The Traitors.
This day he was on the Radio 2 breakfast show with Zoe Ball. He did great incase you were wondering. Known for many things such as is podcast with fellow comedian, and one of my previous subjects, James Acaster, in which he co hosts the most popular podcast about food you’ve ever heard (nor not heard).
He took to my direction well. We didn’t have much to go play with, just a white wall, 60 seconds and ourselves. I opened my gambit by telling him that my ex parter was a big fan of his podcast and that’s why I don’t listen to it now. It was a brave move but he seemed to respect the honesty. He smiled, I smiled. We made small talk while I shot an before I knew it, we were done.
We only had seconds together, so I don’t consider us to be friends.
But he left me with the feeling that if I phoned him out of the blue, he might just remember that photographer who confidently told him he didn’t listen to his show.
