I met Eva at a weird time. I was going through a lot in my personal life and I think I booked this shoot in just so I had something to distract myself with. Looking back I think it kinda shows in the images. They aren’t bad, they’re just slightly lacking. In fact, before now I’ve never actually posted these images online.
I didn’t get any makeup in for this, which would have helped. I didn’t really get any styling aside from a Bra with oranges on it and an American football jersey I’d “acquired” from my time working at Motel Studios.
The oranges idea had something to it, but it needed more styling, both on model and on the set. It’s telling that my favourite images are ones of her in her own clothes, a simple portrait in a faded black band t-shirt being the strongest.
I feel like this is a shoot where I didn’t bring my best, and for that Eva I apologise. This is a classic case of the right people meeting at the wrong time. Maybe one day I can make it up to her. I know she was happy with the images at the time, but I could have done better.
