lou

Lou was another of my celebrity comedian comedy jobs. Lou’s comedy is less around one liners, and just about her general way of thinking and viewing the world. When I spoke with her in the greenroom, there was barely any difference to her on stage persona. She’s just that funny day to day.

With that in mind I wanted to have a fun portrait with her, not just something simple. So we walked down a few halls in the back of the famous church venue in Highbury and Islington, until we found some stairs. I asked her to pose on the rail which she duly did. But she then turned to me and asked, “Want me to slide down it?. Now considering my professional insurance is pretty bad I should have said no. Considering that the floor below the banister was stone which had been there for hundreds of years, I should have said no. So, obviously I said yes.

Down she went and I smashed her with hard flash down the stairs. I only had one go and managed to capture her in full concentration, a genuinely unique picture of her which will likely never be repeated.

Thanks for risking your life Lou, always worth it for the shot.
